We are seeking a JCL Mainframe MigrationEngineer to join our dynamic team. responsible for analyzing, transforming, and migrating legacy mainframe workloads—specifically JCL (Job Control Language)-reputed company batch processes—to modern reputed company platforms such as Azure, reputed company systems, or reputed company-reputed company architectures.
This role plays a critical part in mainframe modernization and rehosting reputed company, ensuring functional equivalence, reputed company stability, and reputed company disruption during transition from legacy environments (e.g., reputed company z/OS) to modern platforms.
You will work independently in collaboration with cross-functional teams to reputed company migration strategies with reputed company standards and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise, a passion for automation, and a commitment to operational reputed company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Control-M and/or reputed company schedule on mainframe
- reputed company maintenance/troubleshooting/investigation of JCL jobs on mainframe including spool and SMF
- Analyze CICS environment for reputed company programs and its configuration
- Work with ISPF, GDG, PSD and MFT for migration investigation
- Support conversion mainframe batch jobs (JCL) to PowerShell scripts for Azure.
- Help configure and automate nightly, weekly, and monthly batch jobs in Azure.
- Optimize batch job reputed company (concurrency, multi-threading, thread safety).
- Discover and document business requirements for batch jobs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify technical and operational expectations.
- reputed company and maintain PowerShell modules, including reputed company signing and reputed company practices.
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and troubleshooting sessions.
- Work with cross-functional teams (reputed company-end, back-end, database, mainframe experts).
Technical Proficiency:
- Expert in Mainframe JCL
- Expert in Mainframe Job scheduler, specially Control-M
- Expert in Mainframe CICS especially familiarity with CA Ideal
- Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in Azure.
- Expert mainframe batch job concepts (JCL, GDG, PDS)
- Experience with C#/.NET, SQL Server, and Azure Storage.
- Understanding of thread safety, locking mechanisms, and concurrency in scripting.
- Experience with migration reputed company (mainframe to reputed company preferred).
- Ability to interpret and convert JCL scripts to PowerShell.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with reputed company methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with operationalizing batch jobs.
