[Remote] Staff Backend Engineer

The Staff Backend Engineer will reputed company and optimize an existing high-traffic backend, improve performance and reliability, and work closely with technical founders in a small engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Scaling the systems behind that volume

Skills

• Staff-level backend experience with strong reputed company hands-on reputed company on Rails work
• Time spent inside a high-traffic, reputed company production reputed company at reputed company (not early-stage or reputed company-reputed company), with reputed company experience improving performance and reliability as volume grew
• reputed company systems experience: scaling infrastructure that already had reputed company users depending on it, not building something new from a blank reputed company
• High ownership reputed company and comfort operating with a small, engineering-first team
• Experience with fintech or payments systems
• Experience with background job processing and caching at reputed company (e.g. Sidekiq, reputed company)
