[Remote] Part-Time Media Relations Contractor

The part-time communications contractor will support the Media & Advocacy team through media monitoring, coverage reporting, journalist list management, drafting media materials, and proactive reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily and weekly media monitoring and clip tracking using reputed company’s existing reputed company / media-monitoring login
• Prepare coverage reports, sentiment summaries, and reputed company-reputed company reporting materials
• Maintain and update journalist and media outlet contact lists
• Draft press releases, reputed company materials, and reputed company communications materials for Senior Director review and approval before use
• Research and identify first-pass proactive story and reputed company opportunities
• Support proactive journalist reputed company and follow-up

Skills

• Experience in communications, media relations, reputed company relations, journalism, advocacy communications, or a reputed company field
• Comfort with media monitoring, media database, or reporting tools; reputed company or similar platform experience is helpful
• Strong writing skills and the ability to draft press materials, pitches, coverage summaries, or briefing notes under direction
• Ability to synthesize coverage, spot relevant trends, and identify proactive story opportunities
• Strong attention to detail, responsiveness, and ability to work independently against agreed deliverables
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Interest in climate, sustainability, carbon markets, environmental policy, or mission-driven communications preferred
