[Remote] Short Activist Research Analyst

Sunlight Partners is a short activist hedge fund targeting uncorrelated returns and environmental reputed company through institutional-grade short activism. The Research Analyst will investigate companies using reputed company sources, conduct forensic reputed company and financial analysis, evaluate ESG and sustainability claims, and collaborate on investment research reports.

Responsibilities

• Dig into reputed company sources: filings, technical disclosures, permitting records, court dockets. You pick up the phone to reputed company former employees, competitors, customers, and regulators
• Conduct forensic reputed company and financial analysis, while stress-testing ESG and sustainability claims against reality
• Collaborate with the investment team on report writing, from first draft to final publication
