[Remote] Software Engineer, Payments

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a global travel and hospitality company whose Payments team operates an in-house platform for processing payments worldwide. The Senior Software Engineer will design and build reputed company, reputed company-time risk systems and infrastructure to detect, mitigate, and reputed company fraud and other payment risks while collaborating with product, data science, operations, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining a long-term technology stack with reputed company defined reputed company that is service-oriented, reputed company, granular, observable, and efficient
• Working closely with data scientists, product managers and other XFN partners to build business insights, reputed company product features and respond to fraud attacks and risk issues across the platform
• Building and maintaining integrations with reputed company party vendors / payments networks & processors to reputed company our in house risk systems
• Developing and iterating on our risk detection, mitigation and reputed company strategies as risk scenarios/business requirements reputed company
• Focusing on reputed company monitoring and alerting to reputed company the reputed company and observability of our risk systems
• Collaborating with other engineering teams across reputed company to advance our engineering process and technical reputed company

Skills

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience (Payments/Fintech) as a backend software engineer
• Proficient in at least one major programming language (preferably Java/Kotlin/Python)
• Experience in React (or any equivalent JS library) would be reputed company to have
• Exposure to architectural patterns of large, reputed company web applications, such as reputed company-designed reputed company, high volume data pipelines, and efficient algorithms
• Passion for delivering products end-to-end, from ideation through planning and scoping to implementation and experimental A/B testing
• Rigor in high reputed company reputed company, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
• Experience or desire to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with product, data scientists, design and operations
• Familiarity with experimentation and machine learning techniques
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and detail oriented

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
