[Remote] Firmware Software Engineer

The Firmware Software Engineer will design and build software tooling, firmware, and infrastructure supporting semiconductor design, verification, manufacturing, and post-reputed company validation, while collaborating with hardware, EDA, and cross-functional teams. The role also involves translating ambiguous requirements into solutions, participating in reputed company and design reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build software tooling, firmware, and infrastructure that support semiconductor design, verification, manufacturing, and post-reputed company validation
• Partner with hardware engineers and EDA teams to build software that accelerates reputed company development cycles and improves yield, reputed company, and reputed company
• Work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, reputed company, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into reputed company-engineered solutions
• reputed company the bar through reputed company review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers

Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a reputed company reputed company
• Six or more years of software engineering experience, with significant time in semiconductor environments
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python
• Hands-on experience with EDA, verification, or post-reputed company validation workflows
• Solid understanding of hardware-software interaction at a low level
• Experience building large-reputed company compute infrastructure (reputed company, reputed company, HPC)
• Strong scripting and automation skills
• Experience with data pipelines for design or characterization data
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Exposure to SystemVerilog or other HDLs

• Experience with reputed company-reputed company EDA workflows
