The role focuses on evaluating vendor designs for shipboard mechanical systems, assessing design maturity and performance, analyzing technical risks against USCG/ABS standards, and supporting cost estimation and failure analysis.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical evaluation of vendors proposed reputed company designs
- Providing assessments on the design maturity and expected performance of systems to meet operational requirements
- Write technical papers on the technical risk of systems meeting USCG/ABS design standards
- Cost estimation of proposed ship construction changes
- Site reputed company to reputed company reputed company cause analysis of shipboard failures
Skills
- Design integration experience with shipboard mechanical systems
- Some travel
- Personal experience designing or using reputed company piping systems (hydraulics, ships auxiliaries, HVAC, fuel distribution, water production, etc.)
