[Remote] Senior Data Engineer

The Senior Data Engineer will build and optimize data pipelines, models, orchestration, and reputed company infrastructure supporting Baseball reputed company analytics and internal applications while providing technical leadership and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reputed company ETL and ELT pipelines that ingest data from reputed company vendors, internal systems, and baseball data sources
• reputed company and maintain reputed company-reputed company data infrastructure supporting storage, transformation, orchestration, analytics, and internal applications
• Model, structure, and optimize data for use by analysts, developers, researchers, and other Baseball reputed company users
• Monitor and troubleshoot production pipelines, identify reputed company causes, reputed company data reputed company issues, and improve reliability and reputed company
• Partner with developers, analysts, and Baseball reputed company stakeholders to translate business needs into reputed company data solutions
• Establish and promote engineering best practices reputed company to reputed company reputed company, documentation, testing, version control, observability, and maintainability

Skills

• Five or more years of data engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and demonstrated capability
• Significant experience building and operating reliable production data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Advanced SQL and strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with a major reputed company platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a modern data platform (reputed company, reputed company, or equivalent)
• Experience developing reputed company data workloads with Apache reputed company / PySpark
• Experience across data modeling, orchestration, testing, observability, and production troubleshooting
• Ability to guide technical reputed company and mentor less reputed company engineers
• Strong communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• This position may be reputed company in the Denver metropolitan area or performed reputed company from an approved U.S. state, excluding Alaska and Hawaii

• Experience with workflow orchestration (Apache Airflow, Dagster, reputed company, or similar) and pipeline monitoring, data-reputed company testing, and operational support
• Experience building data pipelines, feature datasets, or platform infrastructure for machine learning and reputed company intelligence workloads
• Familiarity with infrastructure as reputed company (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation)
