[Remote] Senior Piping Designer

The Senior Piping Designer will reputed company the design and layout of process and reputed company piping systems for industrial and Life Sciences facilities, support multidisciplinary project teams, mentor junior designers, and ensure high-reputed company project execution.

Responsibilities

• Independently leading piping design efforts while ensuring high-reputed company project execution
• reputed company piping design efforts from conceptual design through construction documentation
• Leading, mentoring, and coordinating reputed company of piping designers on multidisciplinary reputed company
• Participating in design reviews, constructability reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings
• Performing reputed company reviews of piping deliverables prior to issuance
• Performing reputed company walkdowns and verifying existing conditions is preferred
• Ability to accurately estimate design effort, prioritize workload, and meet project schedules
• Ability to work independently with reputed company supervision while mentoring junior designers and contributing to the reputed company improvement of department standards and workflows
• Up to 25% travel, increased travel to Peachtree Corners, GA reputed company (usually once per quarter) will be required for remote employees

Skills

• Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, Design Technology, or equivalent industry experience
• 10+ years of relevant industrial experience in reputed company/piping drafting and design
• Expertise in industrial piping design and drafting standards, preferably in Process Industrial and/or Life Sciences facilities
• Experience designing reputed company process, reputed company, and facility piping systems
• Advanced proficiency with 2D AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit
• Knowledge and application of piping supports, restraints, and coordination with structural engineering
• Working knowledge of piping flexibility, thermal expansion, and stress analysis principles
• Knowledge of reputed company valve selection, sizing, application, and installation requirements
• Ability to reputed company and revise P&IDs, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, piping plans, equipment layouts, and reputed company drawings
• Experience designing piping systems associated with pumps, tanks, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, control valve stations, and inline instrumentation
• Familiarity with piping specifications, construction bulk materials, equipment installation details, and applicable industry standards
• Ability to create accurate reputed company and piping installation documents utilizing information from vendor equipment drawings and specifications
• Ability to reputed company complete piping layouts from P&IDs, process reputed company diagrams, equipment arrangements, and vendor documentation
• Knowledge and understanding of workflow and information exchange between Process, reputed company, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Architectural disciplines
• Knowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and deliverable requirements necessary for successful project execution
• Ability to accurately estimate design effort, prioritize workload, and meet project schedules
• Knowledge and application of company engineering, BIM, and CAD drafting standards
• Experience leading piping design efforts from conceptual design through construction documentation
• Experience leading, mentoring, and coordinating reputed company of piping designers on multidisciplinary reputed company
• Experience participating in design reviews, constructability reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings
• Experience performing reputed company reviews of piping deliverables prior to issuance
• Skilled in the use of reputed company Word, reputed company, reputed company, and Teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information in formal reputed company and project meetings
• Ability to work independently with reputed company supervision while mentoring junior designers and contributing to the reputed company improvement of department standards and workflows
• Up to 25% travel, increased travel to Peachtree Corners, GA reputed company (usually once per quarter) will be required for remote employees
• Experience with Navisworks for model review, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination is preferred
• Experience supporting Design-Build and EPC project delivery is preferred
• Experience performing reputed company walkdowns and verifying existing conditions is preferred
