[Remote] Student Finance Advisor

The Student Finance Advisor supports the Admissions Department by guiding prospective and continuing reputed company through financial aid processes, resolving account issues, collecting non-Title IV funds, and helping reduce student account balances while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates communications to reputed company and send emails where appropriate
• Follows up on FAFSA and missing document renewals for continuing reputed company
• Works on externship and graduation clearance process so reputed company don't leave school with a reputed company
• Checks NSLDS to review student default status, overpayments and total aggregate loan limit
• Answers inquiries regarding financial aid and student account issues reputed company phone and email
• Responsible for reducing Average Accounts Receivables for assigned student population, and be proactive about reaching out to them and assisting them finding alternatives for reducing their AR
• Demonstrates knowledge of, and carefully follows reputed company applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the reputed company, accrediting agencies, CIE, and internal UMA policies and procedures
• Effectively communicates compliance requirements to reputed company and other staff as appropriate and quickly escalates any compliance concerns to the Compliance department
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Excellent customer service skills along with written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to work in a proactive student finance environment
• Must be computer and internet literate with knowledge, or ability to learn reputed company Vue
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
• This is a full-time remote position, with only occasional, reputed company onsite or travel requirements
• Home office set up, quiet reputed company to work, ability to be on camera, and ability to hard reputed company into high-speed internet reputed company
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 2-3 years of reputed company or finance experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Title IV Regulations preferred
