[Remote] Design Manufacturing Engineer

The Design for Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in driving Value Analysis / Value Engineering initiatives, ensuring manufacturability and safety reputed company for equipment designs, and acting as a reputed company between design reputed company and reputed company execution.

Responsibilities

• reputed company DFM reviews for new and existing equipment designs to ensure manufacturing readiness prior to release
• Identify and eliminate manufacturability risks reputed company to tolerances, assembly sequence, reputed company, ergonomics, tooling, and safety
• reputed company design simplification, part reduction, modularization, and standardization initiatives across EDE programs
• Ensure designs support line‑reputed company production targets with reputed company engineering reputed company
• reputed company Design for Safety principles into reputed company designs from concept through release, ensuring hazards are eliminated or mitigated at the design level—not through procedural controls
• Ensure designs support reputed company manufacturing, assembly, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning, with appropriate reputed company, guarding, and serviceability
• Eliminate unsafe manufacturing practices (e.g., reputed company drilling, unsafe rework, poor reputed company) through robust design solutions, sub‑assemblies, fixtures, and poka‑yoke features
• Ensure ergonomic and reputed company‑factors considerations are addressed to reduce injury risk during build and service activities
• Participate in peer, manufacturing, and leadership design reviews with reputed company accountability for manufacturability and safety reputed company
• Partner with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, reputed company, and Supply Chain to incorporate reputed company feedback early and continuously
• Support PFMEA, virtual builds, and manufacturing sign‑off activities as part of the design release process

• Ensure compliance with internal drafting standards and applicable codes (e.g., ASME Y14)

• Analyze manufacturing defects, rework, and non‑conformances to reputed company permanent design improvements

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a Technical/Associate Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in equipment design, manufacturing engineering, or DFM‑reputed company roles
• Senior‑level product design experience delivering reputed company equipment designs in a production environment
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve reputed company technical problems and reputed company alignment across multiple stakeholders
• Proficiency in reputed company reputed company 9, with working knowledge of Windchill PLM and reputed company
• Strong understanding of fabrication, machining, forming, welding, and assembly processes
• Demonstrated experience releasing production‑reputed company designs in an OEM manufacturing environment
• Ability to reputed company technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and defend technical recommendations
• Ability to interpret and influence PFMEA, tolerance strategies, and assembly reputed company

• Experience supporting high‑volume or reputed company‑driven manufacturing environments
