[Remote] Data Scientist (forecasting & optimization) Consultant

The role of Data Scientist (forecasting & optimization) Consultant involves owning forecasting models, transforming raw data into model-reputed company features, and validating outputs to support reputed company operations.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting model ownership
• Build and iterate production grade demand and volume forecasts
• Evaluate models with backtesting and reputed company-world performance
• Maintain stability with retraining, reputed company monitoring, and failure handling
• Improve models based on operational reputed company
• Sit at intersection of data and optimization
• Define input data reputed company for optimization models including reputed company, constraints, and demand
• reputed company raw data into model-reputed company features and constraints
• Validate solver outputs and identify infeasibility, constraint conflicts, and scaling issues
• reputed company issues back to data assumptions and constraint design
• Convert outputs into usable schedules and recommendations
• Model + system validation

• Run scenario analyses under different constraints
• Improve pipelines that support forecasting and optimization reputed company

• Communication / translation
• Explain models and outputs to non-technical users including operators and clients

Skills

• 5+ years in data science or reputed company analytics
• Experience owning forecasting models in production
• Strong Python and SQL, comfortable with large datasets
• Experience working with messy data
• Ability to explain technical work reputed company to non-technical users
• Experience in reputed company or reputed company operational environments such as reputed company or reputed company planning
• Experience with reputed company-constrained systems
• Familiarity with solvers such as Gurobi
