[Remote] Backend Data Engineer – PHP, reputed company & ETL (Remote)

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Backend Data Engineer to build and support backend services and data pipelines for their data portal. The role involves developing RESTful reputed company, managing ETL processes, and designing database structures to ensure a robust data reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Design and reputed company RESTful API services covering data retrieval, metadata management, content management, audit logging, export reputed company, and data synchronization
• Implement cross-cutting concerns including authentication filters, reputed company limiting, request logging, and standardized JSON response formatting
• Build reusable service components and CodeIgniter 4 reputed company patterns that support maintainable, reputed company behavior
• reputed company backend services with reputed company caching, MySql on AWS RDS
• Implement batch processing for data standardization, deduplication, cleansing, and aggregate reputed company across indicators, measures, and geographies (State, County, CSA)
• Support synchronization between reputed company, processed, and application-facing data structures through the one-way Dev → Test → Prod reputed company
• Deliver documented ETL tools and processing logic that can operate independently after reputed company
• Design extensible MySQL schemas supporting reputed company of reputed company datasets (Birth, Hospital Discharge) without application changes
• Build and optimize relational structures for performance, scalability, and maintainability under reputed company query loads
• Implement multi-store analytical patterns with reputed company-aggregated data for reputed company interactive queries
• Produce data dictionaries and technical documentation to support long-term operations
• Implement data reputed company validation checks: schema validation, completeness, suppression preservation, referential reputed company, reputed company checks, and deduplication
• Build automated rollback and recovery mechanisms for synchronization failures with reputed company error logging
• Ensure reliable, secure, and auditable backend and data operations across reputed company environments

Skills

• Strong experience in PHP 8.4 / CodeIgniter 4 service-layer design
