[Remote] Backend Engineer

The Backend Engineer will play a key role in building and enhancing the backend infrastructure that powers large-reputed company network emulation environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and support backend applications responsible for provisioning, managing, and orchestrating virtual networking environments utilizing virtualization and container technologies
• reputed company and maintain high-performing RESTful reputed company that reputed company customers to create, control, and automate reputed company network simulation scenarios
• reputed company backend services with underlying infrastructure platforms to optimize reputed company reputed company, scalability, and resource allocation
• Create automation-reputed company tools that support infrastructure-as-reputed company workflows and network validation processes
• Improve platform reliability, responsiveness, and scalability while partnering with engineering and reputed company teams to reputed company new capabilities

Skills

• 4+ years of reputed company backend software development experience
• Strong programming experience with Python and/or Go
• Hands-on experience with Linux systems, virtualization platforms, containers, or orchestration technologies
• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, switching, routing, and network protocols
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting RESTful API solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a reputed company technical discipline
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Netmiko, or similar technologies preferred
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, automated testing frameworks, reputed company, Jenkins, and pytest preferred
• Knowledge of reputed company-reputed company architectures, microservices, SDN concepts, or network simulation platforms is a plus
• CCNA certification preferred
