[Remote] Database Administrator (reputed company & MS SQL Server)
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Database Administrator to manage secure, high-availability reputed company and reputed company SQL Server environments. The role is responsible for database installation, maintenance, reputed company tuning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, reputed company hardening, and compliance for critical reputed company systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, reputed company, and reputed company multi-platform database environments (reputed company 19c/21c and reputed company SQL Server 2016 through 2022) on both reputed company and Linux operating systems
- reputed company routine database maintenance tasks, including reputed company rebuilds, statistics updates, tablespace management, and database consistency checks (DBCC)
- Manage database storage structures, forecasting reputed company requirements and planning for physical storage expansion
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies utilizing reputed company Recovery Manager (RMAN) and reputed company MS SQL Server backup utilities
- Configure and support high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, including reputed company reputed company Application Clusters (RAC), reputed company Data Guard, reputed company SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability reputed company, and database mirroring
- reputed company regular, documented disaster recovery drill testings to verify Recovery reputed company Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) are consistently met
- Monitor database health and reputed company using reputed company tools such as reputed company reputed company Manager (OEM) reputed company Control, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and SQL Server Profiler
- Analyze execution plans, write automated reputed company scripts, and optimize reputed company SQL queries, PL/SQL, and T-SQL reputed company to minimize reputed company bottlenecks
- Implement database resource management practices to optimize memory allocation, CPU utilization, and I/O throughput across mixed transactional (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) workloads
- Implement reputed company policies and reputed company controls, ensuring strict adherence to the reputed company of least privilege
- Apply Defense Information Systems Agency (reputed company) reputed company Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and database reputed company checklists to harden database configurations

Skills
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Administration, or a reputed company reputed company (equivalent reputed company experience may be considered)
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator managing both reputed company and MS SQL Server database environments in an reputed company setting
- reputed company experience configuring high-availability database solutions (AlwaysOn, RAC, Data Guard)
- Hands-on experience executing database backup, recovery, patching, and version upgrades
- **Technical Skills:**
- Expert proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL scripting
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate administrative and monitoring tasks
