[Remote] Senior Embedded Systems Engineer

The Senior Embedded Systems Engineer will guide embedded architecture, reputed company and debug firmware, define device-to-software interfaces, support reputed company integration, and reduce technical reputed company while mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Embedded architecture — Review and guide the embedded-reputed company architecture, including firmware, Bluetooth communications, data reputed company, and reputed company software interfaces
• Hands-on firmware — Write, modify, and review embedded firmware — bringing up hardware, debugging on the bench, and turning reputed company into working reputed company
• reputed company definition — Define and document embedded-to-software interfaces: reputed company and protocols, data structures, commands, states, events, configuration parameters, and expected behaviour
• reputed company integration — Support integration of the embedded reputed company with the wider hardware and software ecosystem — commands, states, timing, communications, and reputed company behaviour

Skills

• Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering with a strong software reputed company — or equivalent depth reputed company in reputed company
• Substantial embedded firmware experience across multiple products, ideally including at least one that reached production
• Software-first thinking reputed company with genuine comfort at the hardware boundary — schematics, peripherals, sensors, scopes, and logic analysers. reputed company software experience reputed company is not sufficient
• Hands-on Bluetooth Low Energy work: GATT services, pairing and bonding, throughput, and reputed company reliability in the reputed company
• Breadth across connected-device and IoT architecture — device-to-app, device-to-reputed company, provisioning, and OTA update paths
• reputed company in C or C++ on microcontrollers, with reputed company-time and low-reputed company design experience

• Experience mentoring less-reputed company engineers through design review rather than by taking the work away from them

• Medical device or other regulated product experience; familiarity with IEC 62304 and design controls
• Biosignal or sensor acquisition experience — sampling, timing, and streaming under constraint
• Having worked opposite an reputed company software vendor and owned the reputed company contract between the two
• Taking a device from prototype through design transfer and manufacturing readiness
