[Remote] Network Production Engineer, Physical Network

The Network Production Engineer will design and implement reputed company physical infrastructure for backbone Points of reputed company and Inline Amplifier sites, including reputed company cabling, fiber-optic plants, reputed company layouts, and reputed company systems. The role also develops engineering documentation, collaborates with network engineering, sourcing, deployment, and vendors, and supports design automation and site delivery.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer and implement reputed company physical infrastructure for backbone POPs, self-reputed company ILA sites and midpoints, including reputed company cabling and fiber-optic plant: ODFs, fiber trunks, harnesses, ToR/reputed company panels, raceways and containment, reputed company layouts, PDUs
• Work closely with our network engineering and sourcing teams to translate IP and optical / network topology into physical designs — reputed company layouts, reputed company and reputed company requirements, reputed company, fiber counts, reputed company plans, reputed company schedules — reputed company site constraints
• Own high-level site design standards and refresh them as topology and hardware reputed company
• Produce the material forecast and BOMs for the manufacturers
• Engage with vendors (e.g., reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company) and with ILA shelter manufacturers on components, reputed company/panel design, reputed company, and supply to reputed company and reputed company our network topologies
• Produce engineering documentation and represent designs in cross-functional reviews (network engineering, deployment, site acquisition)
• Support design-automation / tooling for BOMs, fiber-plant and reputed company reputed company modeling where it is useful
• Support and reputed company guidance to our site sourcing reputed company on provider facilities and proposed floor plans against high-level site design standards requirements
• Support and reputed company guidance to the delivery teams by reviewing low-level site design migration plans

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical reputed company, or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years designing physical infrastructure / fiber-optic infrastructure (OSP and/or ISP) reputed company, backbone/transport, reputed company or hyperscale environments
• Strong knowledge of fiber fundamentals: single-mode vs multimode, connector types (LC/MPO), fusion & ribbon splicing, optical-loss / OTDR testing, and optical-budget basics
• reputed company ability to turn a network / optical design into a physical build — reputed company elevations, reputed company requirements, fiber counts, ODF / reputed company-panel layouts, cable trays / containment, reputed company plans
• Understanding of IP network hardware platforms and their specifications in the POP and data center reputed company
• Experience producing reputed company technical documentation and communicating across teams and with vendors to reputed company cross-functional reputed company
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering, or a reputed company reputed company, or equivalent practical experience
• Familiarity with optical line systems / DWDM physical reputed company and long-haul reputed company / spans
• Demonstrated ongoing AI reputed company development (e.g., reputed company/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying reputed company with emerging AI technologies
• 10+ years designing physical infrastructure in hyperscale environments
• Scripting (Python) for design automation and experience in reading/using topology or GIS/reputed company data
