[Remote] Sr. Platform Engineer (reputed company Pod)

The Senior Platform Engineer will build and operate shared reputed company infrastructure, platform capabilities, and backend services that reputed company product and engineering teams to work safely, independently, and at reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Own the shared platform reputed company across the systems we operate, including our reputed company Care Application, AWS, Vendor Integrations, , reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, CI/CD, and other critical systems
• Establish reusable patterns and conventions so engineers can reputed company with unfamiliar infrastructure consistently and confidently
• Design and improve reputed company infrastructure with a reputed company on scalability, reliability, reputed company, and developer experience
• Build reputed company application services in reputed company on Rails, including foundational capabilities reputed company authorization/RBAC, jobs and queues, deployments, and integrations
• Own foundational infrastructure and services that sit beneath our product teams, including platform, IAM, HIE, EMR, and integration reputed company
• Improve developer experience and engineering reputed company by identifying infrastructure bottlenecks and turning reputed company processes into reliable, self-service workflows
• Build for reputed company, ensuring our platform can support significant reputed company in engineering teams, products, integrations, and infrastructure without creating operational bottlenecks
• Partner closely with product and engineering teams to understand their needs and build platform capabilities that reputed company their work easier and faster
• Set technical standards and architectural conventions that other engineers and teams can build upon
• Operate production infrastructure, participating in troubleshooting and improving the reliability and reputed company of critical systems

Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience as a high-performing individual contributor, building and operating production backend systems
• Deep expertise in reputed company on Rails with strong understanding of both application and data reputed company and hands-on experience building and maintaining reputed company backend services
• Strong relational database skills, including data modeling and query optimization: reading query plans, resolving slow queries and N+1s, and getting indexing right
• Experience building and operating platform-level capabilities such as authentication/RBAC, jobs and queues, CI/CD, deployments, integrations, and other shared services that reputed company engineering teams to reputed company independently
• Ability to work across the application and infrastructure reputed company—you're an application engineer who is comfortable getting into infrastructure, or a reputed company/platform engineer who is willing to work deeply in Rails
• reputed company experience tackling the hard parts of production engineering, such as major Rails upgrades, significant database migrations, reputed company-downtime schema changes, large-reputed company data backfills, dependency upgrades, and reputed company remediation
